Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using ChaseDex ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Description of Service

ChaseDex is a Pokemon Trading Card Game collection tracker. The app allows you to scan cards using your device's camera, maintain a digital collection, and view estimated market values for your cards.

Pricing Data Disclaimer

Card prices displayed in ChaseDex are estimates only. Pricing data is sourced from publicly available market data and may not reflect current or actual sale prices. Specifically:

• Prices are provided for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon for buying, selling, or insurance decisions.
• Market prices for trading cards fluctuate frequently. Displayed prices may be outdated.
• PSA graded card prices are sourced from historical sale data and may not reflect current market conditions.
• ChaseDex makes no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of pricing data.
• You assume all risk when using pricing information from this app for any financial decision.

Card Recognition

The card scanning feature uses optical character recognition (OCR) and artificial intelligence to identify cards. While we strive for accuracy, card recognition is not guaranteed to be correct. Always verify the identified card matches your physical card before adding it to your collection.

Subscriptions

ChaseDex offers an optional premium subscription ("ChaseDex Premium") with additional features including unlimited card scanning and CSV export.

• Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account via the App Store.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
• No refunds will be provided for partial subscription periods. Refund requests must be directed to Apple.

Free Tier

The free version of ChaseDex includes 20 lifetime card scans and a collection limit of 500 cards. These limits may change at our discretion.

Not Financial or Investment Advice

ChaseDex is a collection tracking tool, not a financial platform. Trading cards are collectibles — they are not investments, securities, or financial instruments. Please be aware:

• Card values can go down as well as up. Past prices do not predict future value.
• Do not treat Pokemon cards as an investment strategy, retirement plan, or alternative to regulated financial products.
• Do not spend more than you can afford to lose on trading cards.
• ChaseDex does not encourage or facilitate speculation, gambling, or the treatment of trading cards as financial assets.
• We are not financial advisors. Nothing in this app constitutes financial advice.
• ChaseDex is not liable for any financial losses incurred from buying, selling, holding, or trading Pokemon cards, regardless of any pricing data displayed in the app.

Intellectual Property

Pokemon, Pokemon TCG, and related trademarks are the property of Nintendo, Creatures Inc., and GAME FREAK Inc. Card images and data are used for identification and collection tracking purposes. ChaseDex is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The Pokemon Company, Nintendo, or any related entities.

User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
• Use the app's API or services for automated or bulk requests
• Attempt to circumvent subscription or usage limits
• Use the app for any unlawful purpose

Limitation of Liability

ChaseDex is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to financial losses based on pricing data displayed in the app.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to our services at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these terms or is harmful to other users or our services.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
